Re: County Cricket 2024
£40m to have a capacity of 10,000?
Not sure what England game would be scheduled there ... blind cricket team maybe

Too many grounds seemed to have been persuaded to spend to create international facilities and all scramble for the games they all want.
For example the 2027 Ashes Test venues are Edgbaston, Lords, Trent Bridge, Ageas Bowl and The Oval
Not sure what Old Trafford, Headingley, Cardiff , Durham etc make of that

Yes, great win and a nice 4/32 for Harmer after getting nothing in the first innings.

Superb win against the great unwashed despite our best bowler being injured. Combined with surrey's record breaking loss, its all back on

Big first innings deficit but turned it round by skittling the PEARS for 94

Another win for Surrey
Aust JOURNEYMAN (who wants to be English .... who would switch like that??) Daniel 'Frankie' WORRAL with 6/22 & 4/35

Re: County Cricket 2024
Noone got to 50 or any innings to 200 at Somerset but was pace & seam rather than a turner
Usually can blame that on weather in the preparation so dont imagine there will be any comeback

Was reading that counties are struggling to find eligible overseas players due to all the t20 leagues around
Used to be eligibility for visas was based on international caps but was changed to allow players to play if they had 20 t20 games in a full member country in the last 3 years
Understand clubs have to the end of May to lobby the Home Office to change it
Bit odd that red ball players arent eligible to play County Championship without a t20 record

Re: County Cricket 2024
Wurzels turned over for 128.

Advantage the Seaxes albeit only by 28 runs.

Congrats to Cook & Porter who shared the spoils, each with fivefors - appears that Kookaburra or Duke, they all come the same to these guys.

Now let's see how 2nd innings goes and hope that weather doesn't impact the final outcome.
